I was reading on sourceforge that as long as you compile it, it should work on 64 bit. Here is the link to where I read this. Make sure you have all necessary packages installed. http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/m...sg_id=11050397
Also I don't run on a 64 bit processor, but here is a fix for the spec file since it is incorrect for installing gaim on 64 bit machines.

The help is for SUSE, but should be similar to Kubuntu.
