Check version

Sorry about this silly question.

When I first installed Kubuntu by downloading the CD image I downloaded the 64 bit version of Edgy Eft as I have an AMD athlon 64 bit CPU

I have now upgraded to Fiesty Fawn but can't find a way of checking that the automatic updater has given me a 64 bit version of Fiesty (v 7.04). How do I check for this please

Hi,

If you installed a 64bits version, you will not be able to upgrade to a 32 else than by reinstalling everything.
anyway, from a konsole, type in uname -m, if result is :
x86_64, so it's 64bits
i686, it's 32bits
