I’m a pseudo-newbie, I have a little experience with Unix and Redhat some years ago, but the ubuntu and kubuntu Linux “flavors” are relatively new to me, I’ve been trying ubuntu for about a month now on my laptop (A Dell Inspiron 1420, wiped and running a factory imaged ubuntu, upgraded to 7.10) and I decided I wanted to try kde instead of gnome. So I ran kubuntu-desktop (right after the upgrade to 7.10), its great, but problems have started to creep up into both modes, the wireless network for one runs unstable especially in KDE, I’m having other problems with the laptop buttons in KDE but not in ubuntu so that I think is a different problem. Any ideas what going on and how to fix it?
