My internet access is via an Apple Airport Extreme, to which some Apple laptops also connect. I'm trying to access shares on some of those other laptops, but even though my roommates tell me what the names of the shares are, I can't see any of them in either Samba view or at zeroconf:/ . Being Mac users, all my roommates know is that it "just works" for them, they can't give me any advice on setting up linux.
I'm pretty sure they're using Apple's Bonjour implementation of zeroconf; in fact I got the Bonjour printer working under CUPS, but for some reason I can't see the Bonjour file shares. Can anyone offer some advice? Unfortunately I'd never heard of zeroconf or Bonjour until I moved my Linux laptop into this environment and so I don't know what other details to post, but I'd be glad to try & find them out.
My platform: Lenovo T60 running Kubuntu 7.04 with KDE 3.5.6.
