    Linux won't maintain its settings

When I first set up Kubuntu 7.04 to connect wirelessly to the Internet, the last three instructions I had to execute were:

sudo iwconfig wlan0 essid [network name]
sudo iwconfig wlan0 key [network key]
    sudo dhclient wlan0

Then I could connect. For several weeks I was able to log on and open a connection to the Internet such as my browser. Now that doesn't work. I now have to enter the three above instructions every time I log into Kubuntu.I don't really know what these instructions do, I am just following some advice I received on how to get connected to the Internet.

If you know what my problem is here and can help me solve it, I'd be most appreciative.

    Thank you.

Problem solved: I stumbled on the solution. The hexadecimal key was being interpreted as an ASCI number. Correcting that solved the problem.

Thanks for putting a conclusion on how you solved that problem, it helps everyone. You don't have to do it manually every time you know...
