    Cups config

How do I find out what my username and password is for the cups administration website http://localhost:631/admin.

I am trying to set up the share option for cups, and I keep getting asked for a username and password, I have tried all my usual passwords, but to no avail, and I have not set any passwords that I know of.

Forgive me of my ignorance, but why not set it in 'System Settings->Printers'? Click on the printer you want to share and then click the 'Print Server' menu and select 'Sharing'.

That said, it seems CUPS takes the root (superuser) password. Since the root account isn't enabled on Kubuntu (for very good security reasons) it has no password. You can enable root but I strongly suggest you just use control panel dialog if you can.

    Hope this helps!
