    Congifuring Wireless Driver

I have hp pavilion with broadcom wireless driver. I have installed the wireless driver and am able to see networks however when I click on the network i need to connect to it brings up the configuring wireless device and stays there for awhile and then the dialog goes away however i am still disconnected from internet. Is there a post for this already, I was unable to find this so if so please just send me in the driection of it. thanks

also, how do you uninstall a driver and is it possbile to log in as root under kubuntu.

    Re: Congifuring Wireless Driver

I would try to configure your wireless in kmenu>>system settings>>network settings>>admin mode. Select the device and fill in the corresponding info and it should connect.

What driver do you want to uninstall?

By design Kubuntu does not have a root account. In the konsole when root is required you would type sudo preceding the command. For a root konsole type sudo su and password. For graphical apps you would use <ALT-F1> kdesu (app name).

    Hope this helps
