    Ndiswrapper

    Hello

    My internet wont connect and i really want it to connect to get kubuntu runnig

    i have a Linksys WMP54G Wireless Adapter

    This is a problem because all the stuff i want is in the package manager


    I have tried multiple commands but still no look

    Would Ndiswrapper solve the problem, if yes where do i get the file and how do i install it and combine it with a driver and where do i get the driver

    I am only 14 so help in simple for would be most appreciated

    I will try Any ideas to try and get this working

    If any one can fine the thread this was on, then we'll know all lot about the card you have, and (before it disappeared) some one put a link to a "how to" but I can't seam to find it.

      First thing you should do is search for your adapter. Check this:

      if that does not get it, try ubuntuforums.

        There's a Ralink Linux driver, ver. 1.1.1.0 released in late July, for the RT61 which should get him hooked up. He's got the download -- we just gotta walk through the compiling instructions.

          Now some one who has this same card(or knows how to install the driver) give the rest of the instructions on installing the driver, because I have no idea.

            There's a README file in the "module" folder of that tarball that appears to be reasonably clear (says the guy who didn't actually use it ....)
