    Wireless configuration

I've been working on getting Kubuntu working on my comp for a long time. I ended up getting a new hard drive. I have everything necessary for setting up my wireless network, but I'm new to this and I cannot figure out how to configure the device. It won't do it automatically. Please, for the sake of my sanity, help me! (I don't know what information would be helpful, so please ask.)

The first thing to let us know is what type of wireless card you have. Once you know, search for that card. I imagine that you will find instructions.

      Re: Wireless configuration

I have a Texas instruments ACX 111. I've looked all over, and found a few people who seem to have had the same problem, (which I forgot to mention, When I enter the WEP key, it stops at 28%, configuring device) but I had already done everything that he had done to fix his problem. I set it to open sytem, but I can't use a static IP though. Also, I've seen some forums listed under a name that sounds like my problem, but I'm pretty sure it was all in ASCII.

If you search for ACX 111, you will find a lot of information. I think that 28% issue is a bug that has been discussed here. I'm sorry, but the rest of your comments don't make any sense to me. Get it working open first and then work on the WEP.
