Just decided to give kubuntu a try. been working with mandrake mostly and ubuntu for a short while. I decided to remove the Ub* and try ku* and I am at a point where I am having networking issues.
I cannot seem to ping the ku* server from any pc in my network. I am however able to ping from Ku* all the pc's in the lan except my laptop which is the most crucial to me. I have gone into recovery mode noticing that I have full root access that way and have configured the networking options.
I have the pc on the same ip segment as the rest, which is why I can ping them and access the net. I just cannot seem to figure out why it won't work the other way.
I really need to have this rectified because I enjoy remaining in the command prompt on my systems rather than the gui and use ssh alot. which is the next part I am having issues with... Can't seem to get the sshd downloaded and installed in the ku* server...so without network access to the server, doing anything else is quite fruitless.
Appreciate any help that anyone can offer!
