I have posted a couple issues with this laptop already but also just realized that the adapter is not being recognized after installing fiesty fawn. If I got to the knetworkmanager I only see the internal nic and lo. Nothing about the wireless card. The wireless chip is the Marvell Libertas 88w8335 and the laptop that this is on is an Everex VA4300m. I am hoping to get all of this setup as this is my brothers laptop and he is only in town until tomorrow. I was able to connect the internal nic to my home network and I have updating all of the packages so I should have a good basis to start the configuration on this wireless card. I really hope someone can help me out!! Thanks in advance guys.

Re: wireless adapter not even detected by knetworkmanager
Maybe this (or something like this):
TRENDnet TEW-421PC H/W:B1 PC Card Wireless Adapter using ndiswrapper Installation
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...cs%2FDevice%29
The TEW-421PC is a PC Card 802.11g wireless device that uses the Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88w8335 [Libertas] 802.11b/g Wireless (rev 03) chipset.
http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/joomla/
Many vendors do not release specifications of the hardware or provide a Linux driver for their wireless network cards. This project implements Windows kernel API and NDIS (Network Driver Interface Specification) API within Linux kernel. A Windows driver for wireless network card is then linked to this implementation so that the driver runs natively, as though it is in Windows, without binary emulation. Before you edit, BACKUP !

Re: wireless adapter not even detected by knetworkmanager
Just to throw this out there. Could you take a look at my other post? I posted the text file of my result after trying to install the new version of ndiswrapper and copied the output into a text file to show my errors. For some reason I wasn't even able to install ndiswrapper to even get started.

Re: wireless adapter not even detected by knetworkmanager
I have updated everything and performed all of the ndiswrapper installs and when I do ndiswrapper -l I can see the driver is installed but when I do iwconfig it still says there are no wireless extensions installed. Knetwork manager also doesn't see the wireless adapter as well as kwifi i believe it is called.
