Remote Desktop Controll from Linux Laptop to WinXP Laptop?

Often my wife's Windoze comp has issues (go figure). So I must fix them, would be easier and infinitely more fun to remote connect and manipulate her desktop from my computer. I am running Kubuntu Feisty with firestarter sharing the internet connection with her with static IP. I use a crossover cable and am guessing with this same connection I could accomplish this. How to to connect to her WinXP laptop with my Linux laptop and take over her desktop (not to mention would be fun to mess with her :P).

If Remote Desktop is enabled on the XP box, you can use rdesktop. Only thing is, XP only allows one connection so if you connect, the current user will be disconnected (unless you use the same username/password). Also, I have only tested this with XP Pro. If you have Home Edition installed, I do not know if it will work.
