After installing kubuntu, and using ndiswrapper to install the correct windows driver for my wireless network card, I can't enable the card. If I use knetworkmanager and try to enable the interface, it enables for a second then disables itself. If I use the iwconfig and ndiswrapper -l commands to check if the driver is installed, it says the bcmwl5 driver is installed (which I believe is the correct 64bit driver for the broadcom wireless card in the A6U laptop).
So what could the problem be? When I boot up in windows, I always need to use fn+F2 to enable the wireless on the laptop, but the command doesn't work in kubuntu. Could that be part of the problem?
