Prism problem fixed?

I am running kernel 2.6.17-10-generic #2 SMP because when I upgraded to 2.6.20 my prism wireless stopped working . From a little searching, it seemed that this was a reported problem being worked on, so I just stayed with that kernel. I'd like to upgrade now though. So I'm wondering if it's been fixed.

FWIW, lspci says I have this chip:

02:02.0 Network controller: Intersil Corporation Prism 2.5 Wavelan chipset (rev 01)

Is it worth trying again? If not, how can I find out the current status of this problem?
