    wireless, cups and dhcp

I have a network where the Gentoo Linux Computer runs the Samba server and is connected to the printer. It gets different ip-adresses from the router ranging from .100 to .104. However my Kubuntu Laptop can only print when Gentoo gets a certain ip-adress. How can I change this? It works fine with Windows who searches for LINUX on my network. And from here I can ssh and print with no problem. I am mostly running Kubuntu linux so I need it to work here too. How to do that?

(I tried to add the possible ip-adresses to /etc/hostname)

Did you use the KDE print gui. It should just find the server and maintain that connection. If this is a home network you should be able to give the gentoo box a static ip. There should be no need to even go into the config files.
