Can't print to CUPS on iMac OS X

The printer is an HP Photosmart C4100. I can print to it fine with it plugged into my USB hub.

I can browse the network and see the printer on my wife's iMac. OSX is running a CUPS server. The KDE printer wizard does it's thing, then go to print a test page and nothing happens. I have used the same printer drivers as make it work when plugged in locally, and I have tried forcing the printer to a GENERIC PS as suggested by another post.

Neither end complains. Neither end ever shows a print job. I am short fat and bald and as such cannot afford to be pulling my hair out for long!
