Fiesty working well, but wifi signal is weak?!?!

Hey guys,

First post. I just switched from Ubuntu to Kubuntu yesterday. Did a clean install of Kubuntu Fiesty. The installation went very well. I was up and running with almost zero issues. The only thing that's bugging me is my wifi signal. It's very weak now. All my other machines get a full strength signal everywhere in my house but this machine. I connects but only shows 2 of 4 bars most places. When sitting in the same room as the router it -might- go 3 bars. Is this familiar to anyone? What can I do?

It's working so no big deal but the signal is way off. No ideas?

My Network Manager only shows 2 maybe 3 bars as well. I installed the Wireless Assistant (wlassistant) that was in edgy show 5 bars like in Windows. Also Network Manager will drop my connection and reconnect every 2 to 5 minutes or so. Wireless Assistant works fine. So I'm using Wireless assistant now.
