i need to link a kubuntu box with a windows through a belkin wireless g router. when i hook everything up i have no internet. i can ping the other computer but cant share internet or files. i need help. i am completely new to kubuntu. i have fiesty

Hi,
I guess that if you can ping the other computer the trouble is that samba is not installed on the kubuntu machine, try to install it by adept.
But maybe first you will need access to the net, I guess it's a trouble with dns server, can you please post the ouput of the following command please :
cat /etc/resolv.conf

when i typed cat /etc/resolv.conf this is what i got

It's incredible that you don't get access to the net because it seems to be a dns server...
Can you give the output of these commands please ?

ipconfig is on windows
