HI all,
my problem is very simple. i had installed kubuntu 7.04 couple of months ago along with winxp. then a month ago i had to reinstall winxp. so i lost the boot option of for choosing winxp/linux. (i hope u know what i mean.) now i want to rescue kubuntu. i've the installation cd. now what to do? which command i should follow. or tell me how to rescue kubuntu without reinstalling whole kubuntu
previously i did it with ubuntu and the commands were like below
boot: linux rescue
---
---
chroot /mnt/sysimage
grub-install /dev/hda
i tried this with kubuntu but its not working or nothing is happening, when i write linux rescue i got the error msg the "cant find image linux"
then i tried with typing only rescue but after couple of secs it does nothing with blinking of caps lock + scroll lock
plz help me to recover it.
