Hi,
I don't know exactly how to explain what happens in technical terms so bear with me!
When I start my PC, I have two Linux kernels and WIN XP SP1. I choose which I want to use and then proceed with loading Kubuntu. It starts off fine, then after a short period it stops and I see all the controls that Kubuntu does before the OS starts. It usually starts on the line "hardware drivers" and continues until it reaches the password screen.
It doesn't bother me much but I'm curious to know what is happening. I mean why does the initial screen stop and the controlls come on??
Thanks for the help
