Greetings & salutations! I'm building a K box for my mother. All she needs it for is solitaire (or any card game, really) and email. Occasionally she'll visit FoxNews.com (when she's not watching it on TV). Anyway, she's nearly blind and I'd like to have Kmag start up when she logs on. That way she won't have to navigate the menus or look for an icon. Is there a way to do this (similar to the "Startup" folder in Windows)?

Re: Kmag load on startup
I know nothing about Kmag, however, the KDE analog to Windows "Startup" is the hidden folder in your home directory named .kde/autostart.
So, if you put the Kmag icon there, it should start automatically on bootup.
To see the hidden folders, run Konqueror and click on "View > show hidden folders"

Re: Kmag load on startup
By default, KDE remembers your user session. It remembers what apps you had open when you logout, and restarts those same apps when you login. So all you need to do is to leave KMag running when you logout.
