I am asking for help UNinstalling Kubuntu

Good day

I suppose this isn't a question that many people here would want to answer, but I have found no documentation on removing Kubuntu completely from my system. I formatted the two partitions I had obediently created for Linux, thinking that was the end of it all. But upon rebooting for the first time after the format, There was an error with the Grub function and it would not let me boot into my windows.

Please may someone provide me with instructions to get rid of Kubuntu [7.04].

You might try running your windows recovery disc? I do remember doing that years ago, and losing access to my linux install, so doing it for you should give Windows back control of the boot process, as when you set up the dual boot, grub took control because Windows doesn't share well.

If you use you Windows disc to boot you can get to a command prompt and I believe the proper thing is fixmbr. This should restore the windows bootloader.

I am asking the same thing. I am giving away my WinXP machine with dual boot choice between WinXP and Kubuntu. I want to restore the hard drive
(not format!!) by removing my personal things. Dual booting would confuse the newbie user-to-be.

I tried delete/reformat the partion, but could not boot into WinXP at all.
Tried various options, finally reinstalling Kubunto from the CD. Now I am
back where I was -- dual boot choices.

How can I uninstall Kubuntu, remove the dual boot choices, and just
leave WinXP alone.
