hey everyone,

I have just received the kubuntu 7.04 cd I think this is the feisty fawn version, so wikipedia says anyway

anyway, I have suse 9.3 pro on my computer, that is dual booting with XP.

I was going to go over the suse with kubuntu but leave XP alone.

how easy is it?
I have lilo as my boot loader just now, will this cause a problem?

When you install just select the partitions that suse is on and it will be overwritten.

You could use lilo to boot Kubuntu, however, the install cd comes with grub. If you tell grub to install to the mbr lilo will be over written assuming thats where you installed lilo. You could tell grub to install into /root and then edit lilo to say Kubuntu.

well I went trough all the installation questions, and it cannot load it at all.

I eventually got it installed....

now how can I get my display to go to 1024x768?

Assuming you're not running a proprietary driver, you can go from KMenu>System Settings>Monitor & Display and fiddle with display settings there.
