kubuntu wont load after login

Hi guys!
newbie here so i'll try to meke my point as best as possible

Im having a problem with my kubuntu installation and i want your help

After login kubuntu won't load.The only thing that appears is the wallpaper of the splash screen without the animation that indicates tha kde is loading(loading peripherals etc...) and the whole thing just freezes

i've tried "sudo kilall -9 kdm" followed by "sudo start kdm" and it goes back to the screen with the blue kubuntu gears and the bar but it does absolutely nothing and after a few seconds all i get is a black screen with a blinking cursor

also tried"sudo apt-get remove kde","sudo apt-get install kde" but the problem continues to exist

This is the second time happening.I first installed kubuntu a couple of months ago
and when this problem first appeared i just re-intalled kubuntu.After 2 days on the fresh installation it happened again.I dont think that re-installing kubuntu all the time is the answer so i decided to deal with it.

Please any ideas?I want my kubuntu back!
