Re: dual boot with QNX
Well, gipop, I’m guessing that many/most of us don’t know about QNX Realtime OS. The kind of stuff I do is with the bootloader GRUB with Linux and Windows and is represented by the following links:
Bigpond, GRUB: http://users.bigpond.net.au/hermanzo...system_Entries
(A standard reference.)
and,

GRUB can boot some OSs by chainloading; i.e., passing control to the other OSs bootloader. That’s how it boots Windows, for example.
I did a cursory google on strings like ‘QNX Realtime OS dual boot’, and some links pop up, but I suppose you’ve already tried that, too, and off-hand it looks like most are dual booting with Windows, but I didn’t dig deep enough to see. In any case, you might glean some insights from such. Or, maybe our resident QNX-Realtime-OS person will show up soon.

Re: dual boot with QNX
An option:
If your BIOS supports Boot from USB, then either of the following two ideas might work.
1 Put Kubuntu on a second HD and boot it by GRUB installed to a UFD (USB Flash Drive). (So the UFD only contains GRUB to boot the second hard drive, which then has the Kubuntu.) Some people do this to avoid changing their Windows MBR.
2 Put Kubuntu on an external USB HD.
In both cases,
you would set your BIOS to boot first from CD, second from your normal HD (maybe the HD containing QNX Realtime OS);
or,
if the USB device is connected, then
boot first from CD, second from the USB device, third from your normal HD.
Some BIOSes will do that. Some will require you to intervene manually each time, enter BIOS, and select the HD you want to boot from.
So, chainloading (?), and the above 2 ideas, or using just the Live Kubuntu CD (and save your work to UFD), and some folks are putting K/Ubuntu on UFD (lots of links on that subject if you google).

Re: dual boot with QNX
Like Qqmike, I quickly looked at their site. It looks like this is for embedded and portable systems. I don't see why grub wouldn't boot this through chainloading. Point it to the root of the OS and it should take over for itself.
I have a dual boot setup (although I don't know why) with Kubuntu and grub on the first hard drive and windows on the second. In no way does Linux or grub interfere with windows. If I remove the Kubuntu hard drive, windows will still boot happily. I don't see any reason you couldn't do this with QNX. Try it out and let us know.
