    Hi,

I am not sure but they should be. You can usually find them in the /mount directory. Also on your taskbar there should be a a button (i can't remember what its called) which has icons like "home", "remote places". One of these should have your drives.

Unfortunately the live cd does not automount your partitions or drives (I wish it did )
With the live kubuntu cd you have to mount them "by hand".

To do this the easy way navigate to: K->system config(or something like that, mine is in german)->advanced->disks&harddrives. Go into Administration mode, right click on the drive you wish to mount/activate, give a monut point like /media/data give it the okay. Activate the drive. Now you have to open konqueror from the panel and navigate to /media you "new" device should be there waiting for you.

If you have a second cd drive it should automatically "see" a cd when you stick one in.

      I hope that helps

No, K is the application menu symbol on the bottom left of your panel. Much like "start" in windows.
