    connectivity and sound problems

    I just installed Kubuntu 7.04 feisty on a computer. It's a compaq with AMD sempron, ATI Radeon and a RealTek Ethernet card.

    It is having a few problems.

    The Ethernet card on boot up never connects. each time I have to re-connect it once or twice to get it to find the ip address then after a bit it will disconnect and to get it to hook up again to load a page I have to choose load automatically at start up from the Ethernet menu and it will hold the connection again for a little while and disconnect again.

    Also, if I play a song in amarok it plays like it's on fast forward. I messed with the sound settings and the real time buffer but that didn't help.

    Any suggestions?
