After I request Kubuntu 7.04 to install I get this message:
\bin\sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
(initramfs)
I have an Asus motherboard M2NPV-VM and an AMD Athlon X2 CPU.
I get the same error even if I try to reinstall the old version of Kubuntu which I had already installed without any issues. I can't remember of any change to the system configuration since then. Hardware is the same as far as I remember.
I replaced the Plextor DVD reader with an old Asus CD reader after I saw that the installation program was not reading the package from the CD but was looking for it in the Floppy drive. I completed the installation but don't understand why this happens.
