I have Windows XPSP2 and I want to install Kubuntu on a new partition. When I boot from the Kubuntu cd and open the Install icon thats on the desktop will it give me the option to create a new partition? Or do you have to do this another way?

Re: XP and Linux
Yes it will. But I'm not sure which way you might prefer to do it.
There's an automatic option and there's a manual option.
But you'll see all this as you proceed and experiment a bit. Of course, just be vigilant to make sure you don't accidentally re-format your Windows partition or install Kubuntu over Windows. An intellectual says a simple thing in a hard way.
