I posted a couple days ago about dual booting in the newbie forum, but now my question is a little different, since I got fed up with what had been trying continually not working.
I have Kubuntu installed on my laptop right now. There are 2 partitions: a big one for the install, and a smaller one for a swap. Together, they take up about 60 of the 80 gigs of space on my hard drive.`Since I game a fair amount, I still need XP for a while, and Virtual Box and/or Vm Server lags too much.
Is this how I install XP to dual boot?
1: Kubuntu is installed already
2: I format the 20 gigs of empty space on my hard drive into FAT32 (using the XP install disk)
3: I install XP on that partition
4: I use the Kubuntu Live Cd to reinstall GRUB (via this method
5: Victory, sweet victory
Anything missing or wrong?
As a side note, I have a 300 gig external in FAT32 that I will use as shared space for music and stuff.
