Hi, I'm sure this is an easy one.
I have the 64bit kubuntu CD and a E6300 cpu and 6800GT gfx
When booting from the CD it had the same problem, the loading splash is fine, but then instead of going to desktop, my CRT monitor says it out of range then switches off and my LCD (on DVI) just has some diagonal lines.
Off the CD, I was able to change from "VGA" to 1280x1024 or 1024x768, can't recall which one. Then I had both monitors working, but the mouse pointer was not visible on my CRT.
So I think I just need to tell it to boot up with a supported resolution?
My monitors are a 19" compaq S920 and a 19" WS LCD at 1440x900
Thanks.
