ok i installed kubuntu on windows and partioined how do i boot windows now? it just comes up as kubuntu....

Are you saying that you created a new partition and installed Kubuntu on it or are you saying that you installed it on your windows partition?
If you did make a new partition did you make sure you picked the right one and pick the new one you created or made a mistake and picked the windows one?
What actions exactly did you pick when you got to partition and where to install?
If you installed it on the windows partition then windows is now gone and you just have Kubuntu.
If you did put it on the new partition and you are sure then it could just be that grub didn't pick up your windows install after installing Kubuntu.
Need more info.
