    Kubuntu 7.04 does not load

    Hi
    I installed Kubuntu 7.04. All went well. When I start it shows the Kubuntu screen and halts. After a rather long while a message pops up "/bin/sh:cannot access tty,job control turned off (initramfs). So what can I do? I have also opensuse 10.2 on my PC saying I have ATI Radeon R300 ND graphics card. Suggestions are appreciated.

    For some reason this is a problem with Ubuntu and Kubuntu. I have posted on the Ubuntu forum but apparently there is no solution. You are not alone and as far as I know there is no real work around. Someone posted on the Ubuntu forum that if you download the Ubuntu studio which is a dvd iso you don't have that problem. I haven't tried it so I am only passing it along to you.
