    No .

You can have it back pressing ALT+F2, writing kicker in the box that should pop-up and hit "Run" or "Execute".

But it should dissapear, something is wrong in your system.

    Javier.

not sure what you mean, it should disappear, something is wrong...?

Do you mean it should stay at the bottom after reboot?

It shouldn't unless you have told it to "Hide" until some condition is met. After it "disappears", press ctrl-esc. Look in the list of running processes. Do you see "kicker" listed?

              Answer Moonrise question.

We need to know if it's hidden or non-runing.

              Javier.

in $HOME/.kde/share/config remove kickerrc and reboot. This #&%$ happens all the time, you'd think they'd fix it but hey, it's free

hey wait, I thought you 'gave up'?

I had the problem with the kicker disappearing on Kubuntu Edgy. I tried everything I could found to try to fix it. Nothing would work to get back my kicker except I made a newuser account. The kicker came back I had to change permissions for the account and never had a problem since. I still do not know what caused the kicker to disappear. Here is my post trying to find help thanks to aysiu.
