    Installation Trouble...

    So I boot off the cd, try to load the desktop. The kernel loads, and Im taken to a shell instead of the desktop. The screen reads as follows
    */
    Busy Box V1.1.3 (Debian 1:1.1.3-3ubuntu3) Built-in Shell (ash)
    Enter `help` for a list of commands.

    /bin/sh: Can't access tty; job control turned off

    (initramfs)

    */ The last line is the shell. Already determined it's not a problem with the cd. Any help would be appreciated.
    By the way, hardware, pentium 3, 800 mhz, 512 ram. intel i386 chipset.
