    Windows and Linux

I have Windows XP Home on a 40 GB hard drive and want to install Kubuntu, because I want to learn how Linux works. How do I partition the hard drive to have both operating systems, so I do not lose any data on my windows operating system.

defrag your drive first, then use the install cd. The install cd has a partitioner built in, and will split your drive up for you.

Back up all your windows data first. IE pictures music etc
