Solved-kubuntu 7.04 installer detects IDE as sdb not hdb

    Hi,
while installing kubuntu 7.04- I noticed that the installer on the alternate cd detected my hard drives as sda and sdb instead of the hda and hdb linux normally sees. Is this something to be worried about? should I reinstall? format? offer sacrifices to the great god gnu?

Have no idea why this would be. both of my drives are ide, eide if you want to be picky, since they are ultra-ata-133's. neither one is scsi or sata and it is reading them as scsi...

    please help me out here.

Nothing to worry about -- this is how the new libata drivers work. Just pretend you didn't ever know what you used to know .....
