    Well, that didn't work...

    :P
I tried upgrading my edgy system to feisty last night. It seemed to go fine until the reboot. At that point i got an Error 15 from grub. For some reason it thought the root was on (hd1,0) hdb1 not (hd0,0) hda1?? I don't even have a second drive. I edited in grub to point it to hda1 and at first things looked relatively normal. Then I got the message: "No resume image during normal boot". KDE didn't come up and I was left at the command line. I logged in and tried startx which didn't work (I wish I had copied down the message.

By the way, I looked at my direve and it is set to cable select with the cable attached for it to be the master. I also checked the bios and my dieve does show as the boot drive.

Anyway I had a partition image from before the "upgrade" which I have now reloaded. I'm somewhat hesitant to try the upgrade again at this point. Any ideas what might have happened?
