logout problem with feisty

Feisty goes to black screen on logout. Have to reboot to get back in.

Same here. Must be a bug.
We should be getting back to KDM but nadda we're stuck in tty7 with nothing.
I go to tty1 by CTRL-ALT-F1 (for tty2-tty6 use F2-F6), login there and startx to get back into KDE.
But it shouldn't be this way.

This is a long shot guys, but worth a try. Edit your menu.lst and add the "vga=xxx" statement right after the splash statement (add a space between first). I had to do that on two machines to get the Splashes to work, maybe it will help in this case. Again, long shot. The below table are the values for vga:

Worked like a charm for me. I had the exact same problem. Fit this little bit of code in front of "ro quiet splash" in menu.lst and has booted so lovely ever since. THANX!!!

I used vga=792 and I have a standard 19" Acer LCD and ATI X700 256M

Glad to see it worked for you!! I have had so many saying that didn't work for them, I was starting to wonder why it seemed to work for me.

Hmmm...this didn't work for me. I wonder what else I can try to be able to logout without getting a black screen.
