Help: During Install - Questions About Postfix

I just installed Ubuntu and then did a "sudo aptitude install kubuntu-desktop".

I am now seeing a screen asking me to configure Postfix. I normally use IMAP and POP to receive my EMAIL from my ISP and other mail providers. I only use SMTP to send EMAIL.

    I see four options:

    1) No Configuration

    2) Internet (to use SMTP for receiving and sending)

    3) Internet site using smarthost (i.e. receive EMAIL using SMTP or fetchmail. Send mail using smarthost (ie another machine) optionally with addresses rewritten.

    4) Smarthost -- All mail is sent to another machine for delivery. You do not receive mail locally.

    5) Local Mail delivery only (ie you are NOT on a network)

The default is 2) which will not work for me since I do not use SMTP to receive EMAIL. I use IMAP or POP.

    What do I use??

    Rob

In short, you may settle for the default - and remove the whole package afterwards ... Postfix is just one of literally dozens of packages you're forced to install with the meta-package "kubuntu-desktop" despite the fact that in all probability you're never ever going to make use of them >
