    I can't upgrade 6.10 to 7.04

    Hi,

I followed the instructions in http://www.kubuntu.org/announcements/7.04-release.php and adept doesn't find any package to update, but it doesn't offer me any Version Upgrade button.

I don't have update-manager installed. Is it necessary?

    Thanks.

I was seeing the same behavior, everything up-to-date, but no upgrade wizard. It turned out to be related to being behind a proxy server at the office. I ran adept_updater on the same system from my home network, and the upgrade wizard appeared as advertised in the instructions. The upgrade also proceeded as advertised until right before the end where it crashed, but all that was left was to reboot - which I did manually. The system came up and seems to be running fine.

    Good luck!

I am also behind a firewall/proxy. Maybe this is the problem.

I upgraded from a console using apt following the recommendations that I found in pages of the Ubuntu site.

It went almost fine, but it is an inconvenient for windows users.

Thanks for your help and comments.
