    Upgrade hard drive without reinstall

    Hi there,

    Is it possible to transfer the system to another hard drive without reinstalling the system, can I use 'ghost' to do it ?
    Do you Yahoo ? No I hiccup only :P

    You should, however, prepare yourself for trouble in terms of (re-)booting: as I dare say, you will have to manually adjust /boot/grub/menu.lst as well as /etc/fstab (- at least those are the "usual suspects" I know of).

        Bingo in addition, at least with "Feisty", a former /dev/hdx partition may get "converted" to /dev/sdx ...
