A friend helped me install Kubunto a few months ago. I've been updating segments as they appear and tried to do the same thing when I was notified about 7.04. After about 8 hours of downloading (with good cable connection) I finally got the msg: Could Not install var/cache/apt/archive/samba-3.0.24-Zubuntu1_i386.deb.
Next screen said: Preparing libfs6. Nothing happened for an hour or so so I had to quit, presumably losing all with "53 minutes remaining."
I'm very marginally computer literate geezer and wonder if this is a bug that should be reported. I've had almost no problems with the system and like it so far and anticipated it would only get better. Should I just give up on 7.04, or maybe get it on CD and try again?
Thanks!
