Hey Everyone
I was trying to stop my X server, to install the Nvidia drivers, and after reading a few forum topics and articles on the subject, I was ready to try. So, as first step in the process I opened Konsole and typed "sudo init 3". Nothing happened. By typing "runlevel" I found out that the runlevel really had changed to "3 3" (Whatever that means... I thought there was supposed to be one number, which indicated the current runlevel?!?), but I still had a graphical interface, so I figured the X server wasn't shut down yet. Therefore I wrote "sudo init 1" to get to the lowest runlevel. Then it went to a Kubuntu loading screen, and now it has frozen while loading. I don't know what to do, and I'm frightened to mess something up.
Yours sincerely
