I have a NVIDIA chipset and an 19 inch LCD display. When the install runs the screen is shifted so far to the left that the setup partition select checkboxes are right at the edge of the left side of the display. Apparently it does not like something I am entering later because I cannot get past the screen where I eneter my name, user name and computer name. Is there any way I can force the screen to be centered?

There must be a button on the monitor to "auto-arrange" the screen so will be centered, check your monitor's manual

If it was that simple I would have fixed it myself. The monitor adjustment has no effect. It worked OK in 6.1 and it works OK in Knoppix. Actually the live part (of the 7.04 CD) works OK, its just the install part.
