I really don't get it... I just can't get the update windows to pop-up...

And how to inlclude this link:
deb [WWW] http://kubuntu.org/~jriddell/tmp/arc...e-kde356-i386/ ./

What is this ./ for? If you include there is an error, if I don't there's no update window either (I am reffering to "Upgrader" window)

That is a software repository source, you need to add the line:

deb http://kubuntu.org/~jriddell/tmp/arc...e-kde356-i386/ ./

as it is to /etc/apt/sources.list.

You can do this with
1. Adept>Manage repositories or
2. with a text editor:

kdesu kate /etc/apt/sources.list

If you're unsure about what you're doing, you may wish to postpone the upgrade until feisty is released (less than a month from now), unless you're feeling adventurous.

ok, the devil is in the detail...

i'd like you said 10 times before and it didn't work, but no i know why... when i copy pasted it, it pasted an extra space in the end and that translated into a weird symbol that i didn't notice...so you must edit sources.list instead of doing it with adept...
