    Live CD concern, problem

Will it remain this way that we cannot enable read/write on other partition like NTFS, also we cannot put the partition where we want.

    Let me explain:

I wish to put my Storage partition at /storage but have to put it at /media/sda3 or so. Why can we not put it where we want like in Edgy.

You can in the alternative, but if I am going to give people live cd's to see Kubuntu and they want to install and have no control it will make this look bad.

Why 2 different installers for the same release?

NTFS -- You can't write to NTFS partitions in (K)Ubuntu Linux -- it doesn't write to that filesystem. You can read files in NTFS partitions, and copy them over to your Linux ext3 or reiserfs partitions. Here is more information about that subject:

/Storage partition -- you can make any partitioning scheme you wish, but not by using the Feisty live CD. I recommend GParted live CD for partitioning and formatting:

Feisty is alpha software -- it isn't finished for release, so you should not consider anything about it final. The installer and partitioner are in a process of revision:

If you are talking about the live CD in order to edit your partition and mount points you must right click the partition or drive area and select the appropriate item from the context menu. I have a /documents partition which is at sda3 as well. I can't remember where I read it, but I believe further functionality and display is coming to the partitioner. Really it's a vast improvement from Herd4 which didn't work very well at all for me.
