migrate save settings

Hi,
Wasn't sure if this goes in here so here goes. I have feisty 7.04 32bit installed on my current home brewed system. I am about to upgrade the hardware to an amd 64bit dual core mobo combo with 2 gig of memory but will be keeping my drives and video the same. My question is, can I upgrade to the 64bit version without losing any of my settings or do I have to do a complete reinstall and then copy over my settings and stuff?

Hi,

In your place I would create a big archive with your home folder and then install new system. After unpack the archive in your home and you're done...
