I think my linux box just died...

If this is in the wrong place, please move it.

Well, seeing as windows Vista was having such compadability issues with my TV card (it worked, but not well...) I figured I'd throw it in the linux system and see if one of the programs on there could use it. Well, I shut it down, through the button (I know you're not supposed to, but Kubuntu takes a lifetime to shut down on this machine. Stupid, I know.) and put in the card. Started it up, and nothing. It lit up, its running, but no memory post beeps and no display AT ALL. Not even a black screen! I figured it was a hardware conflict, so I unplugged it, let it sit for 5 minutes and pulled the TV Card, then started it up again. Same thing! I think I just killed my linux box. Anybody know how I can fix it

MC I get a kick out of your adventures, and positive attitude .

also -- I'm not much of a gamer myself, but have you tried any of your games on wine?

          Just out of curiosity.

I've been meaning to. However first I want to get a decent graphics card in this thing.
