Nvidia 7300GT and Kubuntu Feisty 7.04

I am having a problems getting my graphics driver installed. I followed this method which has normally worked for me on previous versions of Kubuntu and on SuSE and Fedora. I have been away from computers for some time and can't remember how to get things working again.
I started off with the linux driver from nvidia. I installed with a
sh NVIDIA-driver.run
The system comes up with an error saying it cannot load the kernel, I don't know how to run the bug report but the xorg.conf file looks like this

Try Envy (this link will give you a direct connection to its .deb download); download and install it, but, if you're on Gutsy, before you use it, type the command "kdesudo kate /usr/share/envy/instun/classes.py" and do a search for "cassandra". Replace "cassandra" with "gutsy" (all lowercase). If you're not on Gutsy, you shouldn't have to worry about that step.

Then, run Envy and tell it to uninstall your old nvidia driver (I have a 7300GS ) and install your driver again. It should give you the option to reconfigure xorg.conf automatically, tell it yes and reboot; then run nvidia-xconfig and see what happens!

yes envy is the best way to install the drivers. If that doesn't work for you then uninstall all drivers you put in with envy and try the nvidia-glx from the repositories. There is a line on the bottom you need to put in the console also don't forget that.
